Claudia Peñalba, M.D is the founder of Peñalba Rehabilitation Medicine, PA. As a board certified physical rehabilitation specialist, she has advanced training and skill in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disabilities of all types. Dedicated to helping her patients maximize their quality of life, Dr Peñalba offers a highly personalized approach to treating the whole person, not just symptoms. Trained to recognize and diagnose conditions in all body organs, she is able to identify and initiate the most effective treatment necessary.

Prior to opening the Coral Gables center, Dr Peñalba served as Medical Director for South Miami Hospital’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation unit for over six years. Her operational offices are located in the Kendall area, next to Baptist Hospital Main. Currently she serves as the Rehabilitation Medical Director of the Palace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Dr Peñalba has been on the Medical Staff at South Miami Hospital since 1995, she holds privileges at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami and at the New Riviera Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Licensed in the state of Florida, Dr Peñalba was board certified in Internal Medicine and she continues to be Board certified in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a sought after speaker and has appeared as a guest on many radio and television shows.
Dr Peñalba is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the Dade County Medical Association, the Florida Medical association and the Past President of the Nicaraguan American Medical Association. She is the current President of Foundation Tepeyac, a non-profit organization that supports a medical clinic in Granada, Nicaragua.
Miguel Tabaro, M.D.
ABOUT
Miguel Antonio Tabaro, M.D. is a board certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is an experienced electromyographer as well. He provides non-surgical treatment for patients who are experiencing medical problems that make it difficult for them to function normally. Trained to recognize and diagnose conditions in all body organs, Dr Tabaro identifies and initiates the most effective treatment necessary often working with other specialists, surgeons and health providers.

Dr. Tabaro is a skilled injector of multiple joints and soft tissue for management of pain of musculoskeletal origin. Dr. Tabaro completed his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT and his PMR residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in New York.
Currently he has hospital privileges at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital, South Miami Hospital , Palace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kendall and the VA Medical Center.
